We understand now that, Kool8ear is on the Blockchain and that NFTs can be on different networks. If your new to the space and hearing these words you might ask,
“But…What is an NFT!? And what is the blockchain!?”
Be Kool 8ear, here is a simple rundown.
The Blockchain is an Immutable ledger book not controlled by any organization and shared across devices/peer to peer networks. Just like your bank ledger to keep track of assets and currency, but electronic.
“Ok, where do I keep these assets?”
You have options to keep your cryptocurrency and NFTs in “hot” wallets(accounts) which are active and ready to transfer funds or assets. These are a list of wallets you may use, click the links below.
Coinbase🪙– one of the most popular wallets. Requires a KYC or Know your client for registration. Bitcoin and most assets are traded here.
Metamask🦊- Ethereum based wallet, popular with Web3 applications.
Temple⛩️- Tezos wallet. Works well with Metamask.
Phantom👻 - Solana Based wallet
Rainbow🌈- Multichain wallet
Another option is to keep your cryptocurrency and assets like NFTs in a “cold” hard wallet (physical hard ledger device), off-line kept on your person, or safety deposit in a bank for example.
There are many cold storage or hard wallets to choose from.
Ledger has many options when it comes to physical hard ledger devices, which are your offline wallets. Cryptocurrencies and NFTs from any Blockchain can be added and stored by a few steps simply by, plugging in your ledger and linking your wallet allowing effortless transferring.
